Examples of categories are Appetizers, Sides, Entrees, Desserts, and Drinks Subcategories Smaller divisions of categories. Examples of subcategories are Beef, Seafood and Vegetarian under the Entrees category Menu A list of food items that are available in a restaurant Items Individual articles of food that are available on a menu Examples of items are Mozzarella Sticks, Chicken Soft Taco, and Chocolate Lava Cake External ID A unique number assigned to an item in your POS. This ID must be entered correctly to ensure the menu items sync with your POS upon export Mode A pricing regimen that chains will use to vary prices between stores on the same menu, usually based on geographical location. Modes define pricing, item availability, and external IDs Pick Lists Groups of items that are available as choices for certain menu item.The four types of pick lists are Upsell, Modifier, Combo, and Ingredient Accordion Display A display style in which each item can be "expanded" or "stretched" to reveal the content associated with that item Bulk Display A quantity box display style in which the customer can enter the quantity needed of the specified item Checkbox Display A display style in which multiple options may be selected by enabling a checkbox Radio Button Display A display style in which multiple options are available, but there can be only one option chosen Enabled A category or item status that allows more menu customization at a local level. An enabled category or item will be available at the local level for use at the store's discretion. The location can choose if they wish to 'turn on' this particular category or item for online ordering at their store.
